Brass Caps, Model 12 & '97 Conversion Kits
KingSnake, of Arizona, is a machinist with decades of experience. He made the knurled brass magazine caps to be pretty and functional. They can be hand tightened (or you could use some plumbers tape) to keep tightened. It makes it far easier to remove in the case of a jam and need to unload your 1873 or 1866 rifle at the unloading table. Another benefit is ease of removal for CLEANING the oft forgotten magazine tube. The conversion kits enable a 1897 or Model 12 shotgun to easily hold 6 rounds - for Wild Bunch.
